A former NFL player is spreading awareness about lung cancer in the name of a loved one. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths, and one in 16 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with lung cancer in their lifetime. Keasha Draft would cheer for her husband and best friend, former NFL player Chris Draft, from the stands every week. Things shifted when Chris became the one cheering for Keasha as she battled lung cancer. “Absolutely surprising. Out of nowhere my wife just said she had a shortness of breath. That’s all it was and then all of a sudden lung cancer,” Chris said.

Needed research funded and it started by losing the love of his life to lung cancer a few years ago. ♪ >> about a month after you got married, your wife passed away. how did you cope with that pain? how did you handle that grieving process? >> my wife helped out with the grieving process, because at our wedding, we didn't just make it a commitment to each other, we made it a commitment to team draft, to the lung cancer community. so when she passed, we continued what was started on that day, and that was standing up for people and changing the face of lung cancer. the numbers are terrible. l...
