Their negotiator tries to ask the hostage-taker if there are things that they need like food or water or a communications device, that's, of course, for the purpose of talking to the fbi to kind of build, put some, put a little bit of trust in the bank account as it were. then they start talking about demands. what are those things that the hostage-taker is looking to accomplish. why is he doing this, what does he want to get out of it? and you start having those, all those conversations with the intent of trying to get that person to slowly release some of the hostages. it's not going to happ...
