Electric carmaker Tesla has crowned its brash billionaire founder and CEO Elon Musk with a new title: Technoking.

Elon Musk is now the Tesla "Technoking" and CFO Zach Kirkhorn is the "Master of Coin" — although both men will retain their CEO and CFO titles too.

socaltech.com Elon Musk, the billionaire head of Hawthorne-based SpaceX, as well as electric car maker Tesla Motors, has given himself the new title of "Technoking of Tesla", according to regulatory filngs from Tesla this morning. The filings also re-titled Tesla's financial chief, Zacahary Kirkhorn, as "Master of Coin". It's unclear if Musk has changed his title at SpaceX. The new titles come as Tesla announced it had purchased around $1.5 billion of Bitcoin.
