Candidates for municipal office in six Washita County municipalities may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2021.
Secretary of the Washita County Election Board Leah Jones, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 3.
Jones says offices the public can run for include council seats for Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 4 in the City of Cordell. The City Clerk position in Cordell will be up for grabs as well.
One Board of Trustees position can be applied for in the Town of Rocky. Two Board of Trustees seats in the Town of Sentinel as well as the Clerk/Treasurer seat. ....
