In every organization there is one person who knows everything that is going on. In most churches it is the church secretary. So it is at my church, Holy Trinity Lutheran at the corner of York Street and Garrison Boulevard in Gastonia.
Her name is Teddi Daniels. Though she is capable and competent, her best feature is her kind and caring heart.
When my young family moved to Gastonia in 1981, several church secretaries before Teddi, the pastor was Peter Setzer. Living in the heart of the York Chester historic district, Pastor Setzer was a conundrum to the zoning board and those who sought to ensure the history and dignity of the neighborhood. ....
