OU to require masks for all regardless of vaccination status

Effective Thursday, Aug. 5, anyone who enters a building on an Ohio University campus will be required to wear a mask — whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or not. The policy change was announced Wednesday afternoon in an email addressed to students, faculty and staff. Campus COVID-19 vaccine clinic planned for Monday

Ohio University Students, faculty, staff, and community members can get a free COVID-19 vaccine at a walk-in clinic on campus from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 14.  No appointment is necessary. The clinic, hosted by the Athens City-County Health Department, will be held at Heritage Hall on Union Street.  Attendees can choose to receive a first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine, or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. OHIO updates testing requirements for COVID-19 vaccinated individuals

In addition to new and relaxed public health protocols announced last week for OHIO campuses, fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to participate in asymptomatic COVID-19 testing through the University’s COVID-19 Testing Pathway Program. This change is effective immediately and reflects new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Institutions of Higher Education.
