Most people who are double vaccinated here in the states aren t tested for covid that much anymore. i think there s two problems here. one, it s medical dialect. we call somebody that s asymptomatic fully vaccinated and otherwise healthy, if they test positive, we still call that an infection. i think that s the wrong terminology. that s not an infection in the classical sense. how should that inform testing protocols? i think if somebody is fully vaccinated and they ve received two doses of a vaccine, in the case of the u.s. olympian, usually that s pfizer and moderna, they should be exempt from testing. the same rules should apply. it s complicated because we re talking about the world descending on tokyo. not everybody has two doses of pfizer and moderna. the olympic village is trying to impose one standard versus multiple different standards based on the nature of the vaccine. that s the complication there. i think in the case of an olympian who tests positive, is ....

Tone, the cdc is not saying as it was before, if you have safety concerns, keep kids out of school. the cdc is saying get kids into school and deal with the safety concerns there. that s right. and the reason they re saying that is because we have growing evidence that there are ways to get kids back to school safely. right? so over the last year we have shown that if you mask kids, if you do testing protocols, even without vaccinations, you can keep kids safe. add to it the fact that all kids age 12 and up and certainly all teachers have had the chance to get vaccinated. and you have a very different environment from the one that we had during the last school year. there s really now no scientific reason to keep kids home at this point. and help explain the significance of this. remember, we started with if your kids are back in school, keep them six feet apart. then the cdc changed and said you can do this safely three feel apart. now the cdc is saying it s preferable to keep kid ....

Prefecture due to cases. the number of prefectures with cases would be subject to stricter measures. a doctor overseeing testing in national olympic teams, i asked him how organizers are trying to prevent the spread of covid-19 as teams train and compete together during a pandemic. we just completed the major testing for our big events, as you described. we had no athletes eliminated due to covid during the main events. the other thing i can say, although i m not allowed to give specifics. there was quite a good penetration above the national averages of vaccinations. so those are two positive things. the other thing is congrats to all the olympic leadership. we ran very strict testing protocols. even if you were vaccinated, you were still tested to make sure ....

Vacc vaccinated or not, and speaking to experts about this, if you re vaccinated and you go on a cruise ship. let s say there are many unvaccinated people on your cruise, you re probably going to be fine if you re vaccinated. unvaccinated people will have to undergo certain testing protocols but nothing is as good as being vaccinated. i worry about the unvaccinated people. they re going to be an a cruise ship. cruise ships are known to be high risk places for all sorts of infections, you re unvaccinated on a ship with other people who are unvaccinated. we saw what covid did last year on cruise lines. i worry about those people. also, i worry about the cruise lines if the last thing they need is more news reports of covid-19 outbreaks on their vessels. news also today, elizabeth, that seems like good news for moderna and their timetable on when kids as young as 5 could be getting a vaccine. fill us in. right, so moderna is saying ....
