If you’re planning on attending the impeachment trial of suspended Attorney General Ken Paxton in September, you will need a ticket in advance to enter, according to new guidelines by the Senate of Texas.
According to the lawsuit, Armstrong and his team stated that the evidence had been compromised and that they believe "the blood was planted by, or in conspiracy with, one or more persons at the HPD in order to try and convict Armstrong of capital murder and to taint his reputation in the mind of the public.”
Antonio ‘A.J.’ Armstrong is scheduled to appear in front of a judge Friday morning. It comes after he filed a notice to appeal in his capital murder conviction.
Antonio Armstrong Jr., who was found guilty in the murder of his parents on Wednesday, is expected to return to court Friday as he moves forward in the appeals process.
"Make no mistake of it, our heart goes out to the family. We understand that they're going through a lot. It's just [that] their truth is not the truth," prosecutor John Jordan said during his remarks following the verdict.
