But the real issue is what we think about our fellow americans. in the last 80 years, we have not before this seen such long-term unemployment and such a callous attitude on the part of members of congress who have been unwilling to extend benefits when there are not jobs to be had. if we had jobs and people weren't working, that would be another thing. all you have to do is look at the number of people who have been out of work for more than 27 weeks. i'm glad that number is shrinking. i'd like to see it disappear so everybody who wants jobs has them. in the meantime, we should not be leaving...
