The Rebels defeated the Nittany Lions during the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Saturday at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The marquee matchup in Saturday’s Peach Bowl is No. 10 Penn State’s top-ranked defense against No. 11 Mississippi’s up-tempo offense. The Nittany Lions know those rankings will be tested by a Rebels offense led by quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Quinshon Judkins.

Once the laughingstock of Power Five football, Kansas has turned things around under third-year coach Lance Leopold with consecutive bowl appearances for the first time in 16 years. “Coach Leipold has done a terrific job of building that program in a short time,” Odom said.

UNLV is looking to cap off its best season best season in decades against a Kansas program that's appearing in consecutive postseasons for the first time since 2007-08. The Rebels had nine straight losing seasons before former Arkansas defensive coordinator Barry Odom took over the program. UNLV has won at least nine games since Randall Cunningham led the 1984 team to an 11-2 season and is playing in a bowl game for the first time since 2014.
