Apparently, life is but a part of economic and social regulations. We follow traditions that our rishis, munis and ancestors created in the past.
In the present world, it’s difficult to define soul, but easier to define the role of the body that is part of progressive realisation of physical and materialistic desires those that lead to pampering or enhancement of the ego.
Different communities and religions have their own perspectives on soul is it reborn after death? Or life comes to an end when the body is cremated?
Most people are not aware of the soul during their life journey and what happens to it after death. However, meditation is a guiding path to reach that final goal and imagine life beyond death. This can be done by sitting in one place and detaching oneself from all thoughts. It is this sense of emptiness and detachment achieved by meditation that prepares us for death and the afterlife, thereby alleviatin ....

Ramakrishna Paramhansa taught us the path to mukti. He would say that there are four kinds of people.
The first kind are those who are not free it is as if they are enmeshed in a cocoon. They could break out, but they feel comfortable in this self-made cocoon. They are used to following base instincts, greed and fear. Ramakrishna gives the example of fish in a pond. Maya that clouds consciousness is like a fisherman. Like fish, people get enmeshed in a fisherman’s net, and dive deeper into the slime at the bottom, thinking they are safe. They are called the Badhya Jiva, those who are tied down.
