A new world-class sport facility is currently being built in Brisbane at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School as part of the Ambiwerra Sports Precinct Redevelopment.
The $11.3 million stadium features a glulam timber structure designed and fabricated by Rubner Holzbau, forming part of the top floor of the grandstand and cantilevering for over 8 metres on top of the seating.
Rubner is a European manufacturer and fabricator of mass timber, including GLT (or Glulam) and CLT (or Cross Laminated Timber), working in Australia via a partnership with Theca Timber that guarantees a local technical and commercial presence from project conception and design until erection.
