LOVERS of poultry have been treated to their first taste of Newport's newest fast food outlet this week. Newport Fried Chicken was opened by the owners of Oggies — which has been a feature of the town centre for more than 50 years — and is situated next door to its popular chip shop in St Thomas's Square. With new Covid restrictions in place, the new takeaway is offering daily deliveries from noon until 8pm as well as pickup services. Deliveries will apply to Newport areas only and orders can be placed by calling the shop, downloading the Newport fried chicken app or by popping in.
