Folk-pop duo Telephone House formed in the middle of the pandemic when lead vocalists, guitarists and songwriters Dan Bowman and Tarun Krishnan began sending each other notes, voice memos and demos online. After releasing their video for "Cracks in the Pavement" last March, Telephone House is ready for their Pendulum EP release party Thursday evening at Wild Detectives in Oak Cliff. Part of Lava Cantina's Grand Reopening Week, Pat Green returns to North Texas Thursday evening with a little help from up-and-coming Oklahoma singer Corey Kent. It's been a while since we've gotten a new album from Green, as he's only released a handful of singles since his 2015 release Home. His latest single "Leaving My Leaving" came out in late 2019, shortly before the pandemic turned the entire music industry upside down. So, while we may not have a new album to hold on to, it's clear that Green has plenty of material to keep the interest of old fans and new.

Several singers are breaking away from their bands to play music for you this week starting with Matthew Logan Vasquez of the Delta Spirit, Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup and Raul Malo of The Mavericks. There are also some brand new bands to check out this week like FIT, Hard Detox and Stymz, who have just been itching for a live stage after the pandemic year.
