RESIDENTS living in new developments across Oxford will not be allowed to buy permits to park cars on the street outside their homes.

According to Google Maps and TomTom, barely any routes appear open through East Oxford.

A ROAD accident will happen soon if a new exit from a luxury hotel is allowed to go ahead without lowering the speed limit along a busy road. That was the warning from a county councillor as plans for a new junction at the entrance to Eynsham Hall, a hotel 10 miles west of Oxford, were considered by a highways chief. CHANGES to a parking permit zone in Marston have been agreed after an 'unfortunate' administrative error. Signs placed on Horseman Close, Dents Close, Clays Close and Jessops Close in the Old Marston controlled parking zone said only residents could park along the roads at any time of day. The actual legal order which was agreed last year meant any motorist would be able to park along the side of these streets after hours. THE new coalition which will lead Oxfordshire was officially sworn in yesterday. The Liberal Democrats, Greens and Labour Party will lead the council together in a coalition called the ‘Oxfordshire Fair Deal Alliance’. The new leader of the council will be Liz Leffman, Lib Dem councillor for Charlbury and Wychwood. Mrs Leffman will be the first Lib Dem to fill the role of leader of the council in its history.
