Pryor ties for team lead in loss | Westside Seattle

SPORTS EDITOR Two Nates led the University of Washington in scoring in a failed comeback attempt Wednesday -- and one of them was West Seattle High School graduate Nate Pryor. Both Pryor and veteran Nate Roberts hit 13 to tie for top team honors in a disappointing 66-58 loss to Montana. Pryor hit eight of his points in the second half when the host Huskies turned a 33-21 halftime deficit into a 53-51 lead at one point before the Grizzlies came away with the win. Roberts added a team-high 10 rebounds, while Pryor picked one off the boards and added two assists and one steal.

  West Seattle High School graduate Nate Pryor enjoyed a busy week playing for the University of Washington men's basketball team -- including his first start in a 73-41 win over Seattle University last Wednesday. Aside from scoring 11 points with five rebounds and four assists, he also came through with two steals and blocked one shot. Pryor did not start Saturday's game against Oregon, but still played 32 minutes, 36 seconds off the bench in a 74-71 loss.
