Not bankrupt, but not flush with cash either may best describe the budget situation for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
At the time of that deadline no response had been received from the DNR or governor’s office. Katie Grant, DNR communications director, has since replied.
“I’ve been able to surround myself with smart people, and take advice and listen and try to make good decisions,” Brian Knepper said.
“One of the disappointments I’ve had is that the County Deer Advisory Council meetings have always been relatively poorly attended."
