Virginia Tech students are asking for more transparency 17 months after President Tim Sand's created a work group to address sexual violence on campus.

Virginia Tech held their 16th annual 3.2 For 32 Run for Remembrance Saturday morning.

This Sunday marks Virginia Tech’s annual Day of Remembrance in honor of the 32 lives lost back on April 16, 2007.

BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech is preparing for its 2023 Day of Remembrance to honor students and faculty members who lost their lives in the mass shooting April 16, 2007. “Virginia Tech will forever honor these 32 lives and support their families and others affected by this tragedy,” said Associate Vice President Debbie Day. “It is also a time when we come together as a community and express our commitment and support for one another because so many Hokies were affected by this tragedy.”

The Nushagak’s commercial fishing district in Bristol Bay has one of the most prolific sockeye salmon runs in the world. But king salmon runs have dwindled. The local advisory committee is still deciding how to address the declines, and time is running out.
