Tim Yoder honored by North Canton YMCA after long COVID-19 fight
Sometimes every day; sometimes a few days a week. Always at least a mile at a time. Yoder, 64, of Louisville, started swimming 26 years ago during recovery from a horrible bicycle accident, he said. He kept up the practice as his job as an international flight attendant for Delta Airlines took him around the world, hopping in hotel swimming pools whenever his schedule allowed. When Yoder began the long process of recovering from COVID-19 last year, he went back into the water as soon as he was able. He now swims about six miles a week, every day but Sunday.
