Ting Yam FONDA — An Amsterdam woman was arrested by Montgomery County authorities April 16 on 17 counts, including 16 felonies, for allegedly defrauding the county Department of Social Services out of more than $65,000 worth of public benefits over a five-year period. A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office release issued Wednesday reported the arrest of Ting Yam, 30, no address listed, of Amsterdam.
