Center hosts ‘Noble Purpose’ sessions The Carlsbad Senior Center hosts a free series of classes, based on the book “Noble Purpose: Igniting Extraordinary Passion for Life and Work” by Barry Heermann, from 7 to 8 p.m. March 9 Tuesday. The interactive class focuses on “discovering your Essential Self” and meaningful endeavors. The annual Tip Top Run at Agua Hedionda Lagoon in Carlsbad has turned into a virtual event this year. The event, now called the Tip Top Run and Ride for Raptors, kicks off March 13 and runs through March 19. The running and biking event will raise money for the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation’s expansion of its educational program, including building the new Raptor Ridge on Cannon Road.
