Airline lodges plans for major development at Rocky airport

A development application was submitted to Rockhampton Regional Council in mid-December for the works.
The development includes the construction of a new hangar, a new external aircraft manoeuvring apron and a new at grade external carpark with associated engineering works.
The proposed hangar is about 140m x 66m (about 9,423 sqm) with an annex of about 140m x 20.5m (about 2,812 sqm).
At the rear of the hangar would be an 80 bay carparking area for staff.

Emu Park CBD block to be subdivided

A block of land near the Emu Park CBD is poised to be subdivided.
Contrive Engineers has lodged an application with Livingstone Shire Council for a development permit to divide one lot into three lots at 8-12 Redman St.
The total site area at the vacant block is 2,319 sqm.
Plans to divide the block into three.
The operational work is for roadworks including road widening and kerb and channel for about 50 metres.
An environmental management plan was submitted with the application.
The application states the works are expected to be carried out in February and will take about three weeks. ....

Camp proposed for workers at Shoalwater Bay project

A workers camp has been proposed to be temporarily built at Marlborough to support workers deployed on the $1 billion upgrades at Shoalwater Bay.
Construction company Laing O Rourke were awarded the contract for the works in 2018.
They have now submitted a development application to the Livingstone Shire Council for non-resident workforce accommodation for 243 persons on Kunwarara Rd, Marlborough.
The camp would be located adjacent to the Marlborough Caravan Park on land that is currently used for livestock.
