Walker will seek new term as Alton mayor Ron DeBrock, ronald.debrock@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail ALTON — Alton Mayor Brant Walker on Monday announced he will run for re-election. “When I kicked off my campaign for mayor nearly eight years ago, I said, ‘Even with the challenges we face this is still a great city with great potential, a city whose best days I firmly believe lie ahead,” Walker said. “I believed those words then and I believe them even more today,” he said. Walker said that, during his administration, Alton has made great progress and become a “stronger, safer and more prosperous city. But that work is far from complete, he said.
