The Lake Tahoe Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has announced that Tom Millham will be honored with the DAR Medal of Honor.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Within minutes of the story breaking about a snowblower being stolen from the American Legion Post 795 in South Lake Tahoe, the community stepped up to help. The first call came from Christina Bicker who offered to donate money to a new one, and if the Legion needed more, she'd buy them the snowblower.

Larry Reid was a member of the American Legion Post 795 in South Lake Tahoe. Born in Mason City, Iowa, Larry and his family moved to Oakland, Calif. in 1939 and then to Richmond, Calif. in 1942. Larry graduated from Richmond Union High in 1952.
