Sheridan Police Department to promote four members Friday – Sheridan Media

The Sheridan Police Department will be promoting four members on Friday, May 7.  Sergeant James Hill has worked in the department since September of 2009 and currently leads the Criminal Investigation Division. Hill will be promoted to lieutenant and will lead the Support Services Bureau. Sergeant Danny Keller started with the department in December of 2008 and currently leads a patrol team. County awards TANF funds to Compass, Big Brothers Big Sisters – Sheridan Media

Following a public hearing during their meeting this week, Sheridan County commissioners voted to submit applications for $70,000 in grants for Compass Center for Families and Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheridan County for 2022. The fund awards were based on requests from the two organizations, with Compass receiving $55,000 and Big Brothers Big Sisters $15,000. SPD brings attention to underage drinking – Sheridan Media

Underage drinking has always been a priority for the Sheridan Police Department. Sheridan PD adds three new Durangos to force – Sheridan Media

The Sheridan Police Department has added three new Dodge Durangos to its fleet of patrol vehicles.  The sport utility vehicles were chosen to replace aging Dodge Chargers that had become too costly to maintain.  According to SPD Chief Travis Koltiska, the police department works to replace vehicles that have reached 80,000 miles.
