Smiley new Tongue River library branch manager – Sheridan Media

Zac Smiley, who’s the library assistant at the Tongue River Branch Library in Ranchester, has been promoted to the library’s branch manager.
Action took place in a special meeting of the Sheridan County Library System board Monday night. Cameron Duff, who’s director of the library system, said Smiley replaces Connie Fiedor, who is retiring effective Wednesday.
Duff noted the library, as part of Sheridan County, goes into a holiday at the end of the week, so technically, Smiley won’t assume his new duties until Jan. 4. ....

Lack of a quorum at Wednesday’s library board meeting means a special meeting will be needed before the month’s end.
Library Director Cameron Duff said a quorum will be needed to handle a library staffing matter.
Duff said the branch manager of the Tongue River Branch Library in Ranchester is retiring effective Dec. 31.
The board needs to authorize him to fill the position before that time, and the library board’s next regular meeting isn’t until Jan. 20. Duff said he will contact Shannon Anderson, who’s the library board chair, to determine if, and when, a special meeting can be called. ....
