Press release The Briar Project released a new Android app called Briar Mailbox today. Briar Mailbox is a helper app for Briar messenger that lets you receive encrypted messages from your contacts while Briar is offline. Next time Briar comes online it will automatically fetch the messages from your Mailbox. Likewise, you can send encrypted messages to contacts who are offline, and the messages will be delivered automatically when your contacts come online.

Status update February 28 2022 Briar has been removed from Google Play because we didn’t provide Google’s review team with a username and password for testing the app. Apparently they didn’t realise they can choose any username and password they like. �� We’ve provided Google with a username and password for testing. We hope the app will available again soon. In the meantime, you can install the app via F-Droid or download the APK file.
