Victory Day celebrated in Khulna 306 KHULNA, Dec 16, 2020 (BSS) – People of Khulna celebrated the 49th Victory Day today, paying rich tributes to the three million martyrs and the numerous women who were tortured, raped and killed for liberating the country from the Pakistani occupation forces. To mark the day, different organizations including government, semi-government, autonomous bodies, educational institutions, political parties and professional bodies celebrated the day through different programmes honouring their national heroes on the Liberation War and with a call for resisting all kinds of communal forces. This year the victory day was observed maintaining social distance and health safety guidelines, set up by the government, due to Coronavirus pandemic.
