Flames moments after takeoff killing 10 people on board. it happened just north of dallas in the community of addison. scott is live with the latest. what are we learning, scott? reporter: hey, imj, remember, this happened a week and a half after a very similar plane crash in hawaii killed 11 people also just after takeoff. in this case here in addison, the plane veered off shortly after takeoff into this hangar. you can still see what looks to be either heat damage or water damage and missing windows in that hangar. there s obviously a lot more damage we cannot see from here. there was just a plane and a helicopter inside the hangar at the time, thankfully no people. the fire department is also just a couple hundred yards away so the response was fairly immediate. we don t know anything about the victims at this point other than two of them were crew members and there were eight passengers on board. all of them were headed towards st. petersburg. this type of plane was beechcraft su ....
Coast, 12:00. towards st. augustine, that s 3:00. for you, chris, your worst, your closest approach to jacksonville, will be somewhere around 6:00 tonight and that s when that surge is going to push all of that water into the st. john s river. and i m worried about that. there aren t that many cuts in the outer banks here we ll call of them of florida, but one cut the st. john s river and all of this surge will want to go in one river the st. john s river and we get into georgia, saint simon s and vanna and tybee. the worst you re going to see is still 12 hours away. i guess my biggest layman s concern right now is duration, chad myers. we re here in jacksonville, just getting a taste, not near high tide and the st. john river behind us, this is a bridge city, jacksonville, you need bridges to get to the places you want to go, it s up to the promenade here. duration will be a concern. chad myers, thank you very much. i will be talking to you plenty this morning, brother. thank you fo ....

Hurricane sustained winds and gusts. we are going to start to see winds this evening and goes until about one o clock in the morning. a nine hour period of hurricane sustained force winds and 12 hour period of gusts that high and over 24 hours of tropical storm force winds and a long duration event for them and that means that goes on and on and that s going to cause some of the destruction and right there, you can see how large igor is and that there is julia and not a factor for anybody and there s two other systems, one that s probably going to become lisa later on in the day and another system pulling off the coast of africa, probably another storm behind us and an active pattern we re in looks like it s certainly going to continue and a lot of activity across the central plains today. heavy rain causing significant flooding to the north of i-70 in missouri headed towards st. louis and also in the areas in illinois today and so be very careful and also some tropical moisture from w ....
