The spot has been closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and many locals wondered if they would ever reopen. For the past year, Tower Cafe's website has had a message apologizing for the closure. "We are truly sorry for having to close temporarily during this time of crisis, but we believe it is in the best interest and safety of the public at large and our own staff to do so," read the message. “Our hearts go out to all those here and around the world that have suffered and continue to suffer the loss of loved ones. We hope all of this can end soon."
