A TOTAL of 501,160 persons in Bacolod City have registered in the Bacolod City Covid-19 Contract Tracing (BaCTrac) System.
Emergency Operations Center (EOC) records showed as of May 10, a total of 501,160 persons already registered in BaCTrac and most of them were adults.
EOC also registered a total of 9,652 business establishments in the city in compliance with City Ordinance (CO) 941 or the Covid-19 Contact Tracing System Ordinance.
CO 941, or the Covid-19 Contact Tracing System Ordinance of Bacolod City, authored by Councilor Lady Gles Pallen, president of the Liga ng mga Barangay, covers all business establishments, government offices, residents and visitors within the territorial jurisdiction of Bacolod City, including public utilities and spaces, such as but not limited to, public markets, public terminals and public transport. ....

AUTHORITIES in Bacolod City are now conducting an investigation on the reported selling of BaCTrac keychains in the Negros Occidental capital city, an official of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Task Force said.
Dr. Chris Sorongon, EOC Task Force’s deputy for medical and data analysis, said they already received reports on the alleged selling of BaCTrac keychains which has been circulating online.
Sorongon said they are investigating if the BaCTrac IDs being converted to keychains or key holders are legit. If so, this is an innovative, creative and more convenient way of using the city’s contact tracing system. ....

Effective March 1, 2021, the City Government of Bacolod will implement a “no BaCTrac, no entry” policy among all business establishments including hotels and restaurants.
Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical and data analysis of the Emergency Operations (EOC) Task Force, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, said the move is part of the proposed amendments on the City Ordinance 941 or the “Covid-19 Contact Tracing System Ordinance of Bacolod City.” ....

THE Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EO-TF) will inspect the management of Transcom in Barangay Tangub Wednesday, February 3, to review their minimum health protocols and the standards of their operation inside the building.
Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of EOC-TF, said they served the 48 hours temporary shutdown of Transcom Tuesday, February 2, for the conduct of disinfection to their four buildings.
He said a notice of violation was also served to Transcom after they failed to impose the Covid-19 Contact Tracing System Ordinance of Bacolod City.
On Sunday, January 31, the EOC Task Force confirmed that at least 41 employees of Transcom Bacolod in Barangay Tangub have tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). ....
