The monthlong closure of the MBTA's second-busiest subway line is allowing crews to make long overdue repairs.

It will still be many weeks before staffing can be improved at a key facility, which would allow all subway lines to return to full service.

Track and signal replacement work along the MBTA's Green Line will begin its first of two 9-day closures this weekend.
