Wednesday, May 12, 2021 Area residents gathered Saturday at the Jenkins Bridge in Barry County for a fundraiser that included duck races, food and music. The effort is to preserve the Jenkins Bridge, one of the few truss bridges remaining in the area. The structure was built in 1909, and has served not only to connect two pieces of land on either side of the creek, but to connect generations of families, as well.
