Due to an overwhelming response for the recruitment of lifeguards, the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre is pausing registration for all advanced courses as they develop a program to support lifeguard training. Amidst a lifeguard shortage, the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre is offering free lifeguard training in hopes of recruiting new qualified staff and re-opening its pools during the weekends.
The Greater Trail Hospice Society (GTHS) is holding its annual swim-a-thon fundraiser on Thursday, March 9 at the Trail Aquatic Centre. “This event is our major fundraiser of the year,” says Society Chair Brenda Hooper. “We’ve held this event most years since 1997 and rely on the funds generated to support our Hospice Programs,” she adds.
Celebrate BC Family Day with some all-ages family fun! With the support of the Province of British Columbia, Trail Parks & Recreation is offering free swimming at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre and free skating at the Trail Memorial Centre. Advance registration is mandatory for all free Family Day swims at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Registration opens on Feb. 9 at
