Hillsdale Daily News LITCHFIELD - The Litchfield Area Historical Society recently opened their buildings and displays for the April meeting of the US 12 Heritage Trail Chapter NSDAR.  The Daughters of the American Revolution are one of the largest women’s service groups in the world, with its member count over one million. The group promotes education, patriotism and preservation. Sandra Thomas and Nellie Cronk gave the ladies a tour of the one-room Sand Creek School and the barn and depot full of many artifacts of the area. Hillsdale Daily News The U.S. 12 Heritage Trail Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution held its annual "Good Citizens Recognition Ceremony" for 2021 school year recently at the Quincy Village Picnic Pavilion. The DAR group represents Hillsdale and Branch counties and all members are descendants of Revolutionary War soldiers. For the 2021 school year, 14 schools across Hillsdale and Branch counties participated in the Good Citizens Award.
