It’s an honor to once again discuss with you this evening the state of our state and the work before us to make life better for all Hoosiers. This annual update will be unlike any other. For tonight, I stand before you in a studio with nothing in between me and you. We’re not surrounded by all the grandeur inside the State House of Representatives Chamber or before a packed house of legislative leaders and guests who have all contributed so much to the well-being of our great state.

Emmet McNamara may still be in the prime of his career but the Limerick jockey is already looking forward to what life may bring when he has to step down out of the saddle. The 30-year-old has achieved some impressive wins in his career, most notably winning the Epsom Derby on the Aidan O’Brien-trained Serpentine in 2020. As the son of trainer Eric McNamara, racing is in his blood but he also completed a first class honours degree in Accounting & Finance at Griffith College in 2018.
