The National Queer & Trans Playwriting Unit will give 5 Canadian artists a living wage and one-on-one mentorship as they write a new work to be staged in 2023.
Five playwrights will be paid $2,000 a month for 10 months to write and develop a stage production with the help of an advisor and other theatre professionals.
Beginning today - April 27, 2022 - 2SLGBTQ+ emerging and mid-career theatre makers from across Canada are invited to submit applications by July 5, 2022 for consideration in the new mentorship and play creation program.
