In UP’s Moradabad Muslim students barred from entering class for wearing hijab
A bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra issued the order on Thursday on a writ petition filed by the students, counsel for the petitioners Kartikey Hari Gupta said.
The students had alleged that the accused headmaster used to show them porn videos and touched them inappropriately.
The bench pulled up some of the petitioners who sought an adjournment in the matter and said, 'We will not permit forum shopping.'
Last month, vice-chancellor of Mangalore University, P.S. Yadapadithaya, had said that 'special arrangements' would be made for students who want to wear hijab after the Karnataka high court ruled that students must abide by their respective colleges' dress codes.
