Fairfield seeks funds for former bowling alley site project
FAIRFIELD Strings attached to various funding sources could leave a money gap to build out the full vision the city has for the old Fairfield Bowl site on North Texas Street.
The City Council on Tuesday agreed to submit an $8.5 million application to the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program to fund the Linear Park Trail Revitalization – Node 4A Project.
The city had applied during a previous round of funding, but the project was not chosen. State officials advised Fairfield not to include the recreation facility in its next application. ....
