Starbucks Workers United has filed an unfair labor practice charge against the company, saying this is the 9th union leader in Western New York to be fired.
In a statement on Saturday morning, workers said they have been harassed, threatened, and their hours have been cut by corporate.
National Labor Relations Board attorneys successfully argued to use a Buffalo Starbucks worker’s secret recording of a company meeting Monday, the first day of what could be months of proceedings against the coffee giant.
This marks the 8th Starbucks store in Western New York to unionize.
Buffalo made history when the first Starbucks in the country unionized here late last year. Now, another location has voted to join their ranks.
