National gash that russia ships to europe currently transit via ukraine through pipelines that they back -- precious strategy with -- is to eventually stop transiting gas through ukraine and then ship it directly to germany. it has to implications. one is that it reduces the ability of ukraine to charge transit fees. that is bad for ukraine's economy as they lose that revenue. but more important is that it puts ukraine in a much weaker position when they try to negotiate energy deals with russia. because it would really relying directly on negotiations with russia rather than being the supplie...
