Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) are being registered under the Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) programme which will monitor registration and insurance compliance of vehicles travelling on the island’s road.Acting Chief Licensing Officer of the Barbados Licensing Authority (BLA), Treca McCarthy-Broomes said the second phase of the project is underway.Emergency and state-owned vehicles were the first to be tagged last year.“The process of tagging Public Service Vehicles has been ongoing since late 2022 and we are continuing to tag government-owned vehicles. Eventually, all vehicles on the island will be required to register with the EVR system, which includes vehicles being tagged with a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag/sticker,” McCarthy-Broomes explained. ....
