BAR HARBOR — Town Council members will soon be getting input from the public on whether the town should publicly endorse Pine Tree Power.
The highly contentious question would establish the framework for a new utility to deliver electricity in Maine.
Approving Question 3 on the November ballot would ensure more responsive and rapid investment in connecting renewable energy sources to the state grid.
“This is a definitive fight of 2023 as far as climate,” said Candice Fortin, US campaigns manager for the climate activism group 350.org.
