Former Transnet CEO Siyabonga Gama, former Transet acting group CFO Garry Pita, and former group treasurer Phetolo Ramosebudi appeared at the Palm Ridge Specialised Crimes Court on Monday morning.
In the second instalment of the state capture inquiry report released on Tuesday, Zondo says former Transnet group CEO Brian Molefe, CFO Anoj Singh, Gupta lieutenant Eric Wood and financial services company Regiments Capital, with its associated persons, should be investigated for “illegal conduct on charges of corruption”.
The Investigating Directorate says it has filed two applications to the Johannesburg High Court to have some Gupta-linked assets preserved in a bid to recover funds allegedly swindled through state capture.
