called trumponomics and i take it you think he economically has a good understanding of things? i do. i think he s pretty good on economics. talk to me about how this played out. when donald trump was a candidate he thought interest rates were low and should be increased. now he put his own guy in and seems to be fighting with him. i agree with him for the first part for sure. i think one of the real reasons we had the great recession is they held interest rates so low that capital was not attracted into the areas of home building and investments and it really slowed down the recovery in my opinion. lately with inflation coming way, way down and long-term interest rates coming way down, i did not see it as early as the president did, but seriously, it s about time for the fed to start lowering rates. they follow markets, they don t lead markets. i think they should be lowering rates fairly soon and i think most economists agree with me.
