A U.S. Marshals fugitive task force came under fire during a standoff that also saw the suspect they were pursuing killed.
Terry Clark Hughes, 39, (pictured), was wanted for possession of a firearm by felon, and felony flee to elude out of Lincoln County, before he was shot dead on Monday, according to CMPD.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force was trying to serve a warrant to a convicted felon wanted for gun possession at a home in Charlotte around 1:30 p.m.
