Galway Bay fm newsroom – Motorists are advised to expect significant traffic delays on the N83 on the outskirts of the city.
The N83 Tuam Rd is reportedly still blocked just outside the city at Two Mile Ditch due to an overturned truck.
It’s understood no injuries have been reported, and Gardai are at the scene.
Gardai say diversions are currently in place.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the N83 at Two Mile Ditch in County Galway this morning.
The incident involving a car and a lorry occurred at approximately 6:20am.
The driver of the car, a male aged in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Galway with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed but has since reopened.
Gardaí say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
