Pancake Day flip-off for Ryde food projects – here's how you can join in

Councillors Michael Lilley (main pic) and Wayne Whittle (inset, right) are battling for this year s pancake bragging rights to raise money for Ryde food projects.
Two Ryde Councillors will go head-to-head in a pancake flipping competition today (Tuesday) to raise awareness and funds for Ryde food projects that have supported the community through the pandemic.
The Pancake Day flip-off – which normally takes place at Ryde Foodbank, which it raises money for – will see Cllrs Michael Lilley and Wayne Whittle battle for bragging rights in the timed minute long competition.
In a new twist this year, young people in Ryde will be challenged to have a go themselves and see if they can beat the winning total.
