Mangaluru: Venoor police arrested two persons on charges of illegal sand extraction from Phalguni River at Venoor in Belthangady taluk on Sunday night.
Police investigated two cases of illegal sand mining, charging four individuals. Tipper truck with sand near Lalgudi bus stop and mini-truck near Keelamullaikudi church were seized. U Gomathi Priya faces charges.
