यसबाट सहरको सौन्दर्य अभिवृद्धि हुने, विद्युत् माग बढ्ने र रातिको खेर जाने विद्युत् पनि खपत हुने प्राधिकरणका कार्यकारी निर्देशक कुलमान घिसिङले बताउनुभयो । साथै सफाइ अभियानअन्तर्गत मुख्य तथा सहायक सडकहरुमा रहेका प्रयोगविहीन अनावश्यक विद्युतीय पोल तथा तारहरु हटाउने, तारहरुलाई भूमिगत गर्नेलगायतका काम अगाडि बढाइने कार्यकारी निर्देशक घिसिङले जानकारी दिनुभयो । पहिलो चरणमा उज्यालो र सफाइ सहर अभियान संघीय राजधानी काठमाडौँ उपत्यका, भरतपुर एवं पर्यटकीय पोखरा महानगरपालिकामा चलाइने र त्यसपछि विस्तार गर्दै देशभरि नै सञ्चालन गरिने छ । ऊर्जा, जलस्रोत तथा सिंचाइमन्त्री पम्फा भुसालले आफ्नो कार्ययोजना मार्फत वितरण लाइन तथा सबस्टेशनको क्षमता वृद्धि गर्दै वितरण प्रणालीको गुणस्तर सुधार गर्ने र शहरी क्षेत्रमा वितरण प्रणालीलाई भूमिगत गर्ने कार्यलाई विस्तार गर्दै लैजाने घोषणा गर्नुभएको थियो । यही घोषणालाई कार्यान्वयन गर्न प्राधिकरणले ‘उज्यालो र सफाइ सहर अभियान’ चलाउन लागेको हो ।
